Child Loss is the most devastating experience a parent can face. As bereaved moms, we often find ourselves searching for comfort, for meaning, and for reassurance that our children are still with us in some way. Over the years, I’ve received signs from my daughter Katie that remind me that love never dies. Recently, though, I had a mediumship reading that was so powerful, I knew I needed to share it here.

This post is for you if you’re a grieving mom looking for encouragement, hope, and perhaps a new way to see your child’s continued presence in your life. Whether or not you’ve ever considered a psychic or mediumship reading, my story may open your heart to the possibility that connection is still possible.

I booked the reading so long ago - I forgot about it!

I booked this reading months ago, recommended by a friend who had worked with the medium before. Honestly, I had forgotten all about it until I checked my calendar for the week.

The day of the appointment, I had to rush from a meeting, barely had time to catch my breath, fluff my hair, and click into Zoom. No time to prepare, no list of questions; just me showing up as I was.

And maybe that was the best thing, because I’ve learned something important about readings: our loved ones give us what we need, not always what we want.

The Small but Powerful Details

From the start, the medium 'Kat B' gave me validations that only Katie could have provided.

  • She asked me about a mug Katie had given me; one that was still tucked away at the back of a cupboard, untouched. She was right.

  • She mentioned “weird squares” on Katie’s wall, which turned out to be paint swatches I had tested while preparing to repaint her room.

  • She even let me know Katie wasn’t thrilled with some of the changes I’d made to her room...lol. Classic Katie, telling me exactly how she felt!

These little details may not mean much to anyone else, but to me, they were clear reminders that Katie is still watching, still present, and still very much herself. It also validated that this psychic medium had Katie with her.

The Bigger Messages That Took My Breath Away

Then came the messages that carried even deeper meaning.

The medium asked me about the number 22. At first, I drew a blank. But later that same day, I learned that Katie’s former boyfriend—who I still keep in touch with on his birthday—had gotten married on August 22. That detail was something I could never have known, but Katie did.

And at the end of the reading, I asked if there was anything Katie wanted me to do.

The medium replied: “This is not for Katie. It’s for you. Katie wants you to write another book. There’s something inside you that the world needs: a book about helping people get unstuck.”

She also told me I was meant for bigger stages, that I move across the stage when I speak, and that those stages would continue to grow. That vision aligned perfectly with my dreams and even with my calendar. Just the day before the reading, I had scheduled time to start writing. And since then, the words have poured out of me faster than I can type.

What This Means for You on your Child Loss Journey

Now, I want to pause here to say: psychic readings aren’t for everyone. Some people are skeptical, and that’s okay. But for me, they have been a source of comfort and healing.

If you ever consider having one, go in with an open heart. Don’t expect exact details like, “Your child says they rode a red tricycle at age three.” Instead, trust that you will receive what you need in that moment—even if it’s not what you thought you wanted.

For me, this reading was a reminder of two things: Katie is still close, and she is still cheering me on. Her love is unending, her presence is real, and her guidance continues to shape my life in ways I could never imagine.

Final Thoughts

Maybe you’ve had dreams, signs, songs, or little coincidences that felt like more than chance. Maybe you’re still waiting for your first clear sign. Either way, know this: your child’s love for you never ends. They are closer than you think. You can find psychic-medium Kat B's info HERE.
